These projects evaluate an approach, not a flashy performance. They can be done entirely on paper. Never collect personal data.
By the end, you'll be able to run a complete mini-project: state a question, create safe data, measure a baseline, propose a network, analyze its errors and defend a responsible decision with evidence.
Question. Can we classify hand-drawn digits with a reference rule and then imagine an MLP?
Safe data. Make 60 cards: simulate ten fictional handwriting styles and, for each style, draw the digits 0 to 5 once. Do not write any real name. Keep every six-card series together, then assign six styles to training (36 cards), two to validation (12) and two to the sealed test (12).
